It has been quiet on arcisfoodblog the last couple of weeks as we were on holidays. It was a fabulous 2.650km /1.650-mile trek through the Western and Eastern Cape provinces of South Africa. We started in Stellenbosch and headed east – following the Garden Route via Knysna – to Addo Elephant National Park before heading back west – following Route 62 via Oudtshoorn and Franschhoek  – to end up in Cape Town.

In other words: two weeks of enjoying this beautiful country, its amazing food, and wines! The next couple of posts will be some restaurant reviews, compilations of stuff that we ate and did (and a special on the burgers of course…)
